Hawthorne Fishing Club has a yearly fishing trip to Ontario Canada via motorcoach.
The charter bus trip leaves Cary Illinois headed for a week of fishing in Ontario Canada. This year we will fish the Winnipeg River and surrounding water system. Fishing in Canada will be an enjoyable time as you catch Walleye Pike, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass. Usually in the morning, Walleye fishing is done so that the K.C.R. Camp guides have tasty fish to prepare for a great shore lunch. The Hawthorne Fishing Club has one of the best fishing charter bus trips in the Chicago area. This is a private club, but guest are welcome to join the clubs tour group on this charter bus trip to Canada. There are no fees for non members. The coach ride takes about 18 hours with some stops on the way. Come fishing with us in Canada.

We had a great time once again this past year, despite the high water. For the year 2010, we are returning to K. C. R. Camp, Tetu Lakes in Northwest Ontario. Our hosts, Richard and Gloria Castle, K. C. R. Camp look forward to meeting us again next summer. Once again, we will have the entire camp to ourselves. Homer and his crew are ready to drive us there. We have already reserved the last full week in July. We will leave the Chicago area on Saturday, July 24 and return on Sunday, August 1, 2010.

The waters of Tetu Lake are especially noted for their Walleye, Northern, and Small Mouth Bass, and Muskie. We may be allowed to take home two Walleye, and four Northern and Bass, as 2010 regulations are still being determined at this time. In 2009 we all had our limit of walleye, northern, and bass, no Muskies but wait until 2010!

This year's trip will include round trip air conditioned coach, six nights lodging with all in-camp meals, five days of guided fishing (two or three fishermen and a guide per boat), bait and fuel, daily shore lunch, and taxes. We will have to provide our own licenses and Outdoors Card. The fully equipped cabins await our arrival. K. C. R. Lodge wilt be upgrading most of their boats by 2010 to 18 foot, flat floored boats, with larger motors, live wells, etc.

Our 2010 trip will cost $1200, a very modest increase from 2009. We work hard every year to bring you the best valued trip we can.

Once again, we will need a minimum of 16 to be able to justify taking the bus, so we need your help in making your reservation deposit early and encouraging family and friends to join us too. Non-refundable reservation deposits of $200 per person are due by Saturday, January 2, 2010 (the balance wall be due by our June get together). The number of reservation deposits received at that time will determine whether or not we have a 2010 trip and also become the basis for our commitment to the lodge. Any reservations after the minimum of 16 will be accepted solely upon the lodges capability to accommodate additional participants.
