K.C.R. Camp is a real wilderness camp, located 54 miles northwest of Kenora, Ontario on the famous Winnipeg River, where you have to ride 6 miles by boat to reach the island. At camp you are far removed from civilization and surrounded by virgin lakes and forest.
The abundance of fish to be found can make any sportsman's dream come true. There are many rapids and waterfalls that offer endless opportunities for anglers to explore.
The cool waters create game fish of unparalleled size as well as fighting spirit and energy!
The area has diversified structure of cabbage beds, boulders, strewn drop offs, hundreds of islands and depths of over 120 feet.
Fish the constant flow of fresh waters below two dams and several falls. Fish the slow currents at a number of creek mouths or the quiet lakes with their hundreds of bays and islands, plus miles and miles of rocky shorelines.
Your onsite hosts, owners/operators, Richard & Gloria Castle, along with the staff of K.C.R. Camp, will be ready to welcome you.
Hawthorne Fishing Club Is announcing this year’s fishing journey to Ontario Canada by chartered bus. .
The bus will leave Cary, IL headed to Ontario Canada for a great week of fishing. Our plans are to fish the Canadian Winnipeg River run and surrounding water system. Our experience has been fishing in Canada waters has been a pleasing time as you catch Northern Pike, Walleye and Smallmouth Bass.
Regularly in the morning we head out for Walleye fish so that we and the KCR Camp guides are sure to have tasty fish to make for the outstanding shore lunch that will be prepared. We believe that Hawthorne Fishing Club currently provides one of the top fishing bus trips currently being run in the Chicagoland area.
Hawthorne a private fishing club welcomes guest to join us on a wonderful fun filled tour group trip by charter bus to Canada fishing waters. The bus ride usually takes around 18 hours with a few stops on the way. We hope you will come on our fishing trip to Canada. While traveling you will make some new friends.
