We had a great time once again this past year with lots of fish, great weather, and good food and friends. For the
year 2016, we are returning to K. C. R. Camp, Tetu Lakes in Northwest Ontario. Our hosts, Richard and Gloria
Castle, K. C. R. Camp look forward to meeting us again next summer. Once again, we will have the entire camp to
ourselves. Homer and his crew are ready to drive us there. We have already reserved the last full week in July. We
will leave the Chicago area on Saturday, July 23 and return on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
The waters of Tetu Lake are especially noted for their walleye, northern, and small mouth bass, and muskie. We
may be allowed to take home ?? walleye, and ?? northern and bass, as 2016 regulations are still being determined
at this time. In 2015 we all had our limit of walleye, northern, and bass. No muskie but quite a few perch!
This year's trip will include round trip air conditioned coach, six nights lodging with all in-camp meals, five days of
guided fishing (two or three fishermen and a guide per boat), bait and fuel, daily shore lunch, and taxes. We will
have to provide our own licenses and Outdoors Card, available on-line or at the lodge (please keep your on-line
purchased receipts with you if you purchase on-line). The fully equipped cabins await our arrival. K. C. R. Lodge
has upgraded most of their boats to 18 foot, flat floored boats, with larger motors, live wells, etc. Larger boats will
be assigned on a first come, first served basis for those sending in their deposits.
Our 2014 trip cost will be $1375.00. This is the first cost increase in four years as we continue to strive to bring you
the best valued trip we can and represents an increase of only 3% over the past several years.
Once again, we will need a minimum of 16 to be able to justify taking the bus, so we need your help in making your
reservation deposit early and encouraging family and friends to join us too. Non-refundable reservation deposits of
$200 per person are due by Thursday, January 2, 2016 (the balance will be due by our June get together). The
number of reservation deposits received at that time will determine whether or not we have a 20 J 4 trip and also
become the basis for our commitment to the lodge. Any reservations after the minimum of J 6 will be accepted solely
upon the lodge's capability to accommodate additional participants.
So, now is the time to start making those plans. Make your commitment by sending in your $200 deposit made out to:

Join us on our Canada Fishing Trip
Hawthorne Sporting Club is announcing to its sports fisherman the trip of the year. The excursion will be for our fishing trip to Ontario Canada riding on Coach American’s chartered bus.
The bus departs Cary, IL at about 7:00 pm. to Ontario Canada ready for a fantastic week of action packed fishing. Our strategies are to fish within the Canadian Winnipeg River water system. Our past has proven fishing in Canada water system has been an action packed time as you catch good sized Northerns, Walleyes, Muskies and Smallmouth Bass.
Our Canadian fishing transportation to Canada and back is provided by Coach American Tour Charters. They have serviced our fishing trips for years and service the Chicago Land region with bus and motorcoach charter services.
For our routine in the morning normally we head out to catch Walleye pike so we and the Camp guides will have tasteful fish for the exceptional shore lunch that the guides will prepare for us. You will always remember this lunch for it is rare to have fish this fresh while enjoying all the nature around you. You can look around but we think that Hawthorne’s Fishing Club has and provides a top fishing trip by bus currently offered in the Chicago Land Area with an affordable price.
Hawthorne Sports Club has a private fishing group that welcomes guest participate and join us on an exciting wonderful fun filled tour trip by motorcoach charter to Canada’s fresh fishing waters. The coach ride usually takes about 18.5 hours with a stretch your legs stops on the way. We invite you to come on our Canadian fishing trip. While you are on the trip you will make some new friends.
